HOW IT WORKS

From a long video to your moments

  1. 01

    Upload your material

Choose a video and a clear PNG or JPG reference photo of the person. A screenshot from the same video works best.

  2. 02

    Generate in one click

Use the default settings, or choose the aspect ratio, resolution and whether to crop around the person. Then start generating.

  3. 03

    Preview and download

Follow the job in My clips. When it finishes, check that the right person was selected and download the MP4.

Keep the whole scene, or follow one person

Find moments by person

Collect a person’s appearances in performances, events or family recordings. Clear footage and distinctive clothing make the subject easier to match.

Keep the full frame

The default preserves the original aspect ratio and composition. Leave tracking crop off when you only want to select the right moments.

Optional person tracking

Enable tracking crop to move the frame with your subject, try to keep them centered and reduce other people in view. It changes the rectangular crop; it does not remove backgrounds or cut people out.

A few things to know before you start

Can I automatically extract clips of a specific person?

MeClips uses your reference photo to find matching appearances and combine them in chronological order. Occlusion, blur, fast cuts or similar clothing can cause missed or incorrect matches, so preview the result before downloading.

Does MeClips support general video object tracking?

MeClips focuses on a person selected with a reference image. It first selects their appearances, then optionally moves a rectangular crop to follow them. It does not offer tracking for arbitrary objects such as vehicles or animals, and it is not a live surveillance tool.

Do I have to crop the video?

No. Tracking crop is off and the original aspect ratio is selected by default. The full frame is preserved when selecting segments. Choosing another ratio with tracking crop off adds padding to fit the frame.

How should I choose the reference photo?

Use a clear frame from the same video with little obstruction. Keep the target person prominent, include recognizable clothing and body details, and avoid including several people in the reference.

Is this facial recognition or background removal?

No. It uses appearance, clothing and continuity between shots to select video segments, not to verify identity. Tracking crop changes the framing and cannot guarantee that other people are completely excluded.

Are my uploads and clips public?

Projects, media and output require the owning account to sign in and are not public showcase content. Files are uploaded to the server for processing; images used for analysis may be sent to the configured AI model service. Processing is not fully offline.

Is the original video deleted after clipping?

Finishing a clip does not automatically delete the source upload. Deleting a project from My clips also cleans up its stored media, outputs and job files. Download anything you want to keep before deleting it.
